Let go.

Have you seen The Lego Movie?

If you haven't, you probably have been living under a rock or you don't have children.

Either way, you are missing out.

I love this movie. I made the excuse of taking my seven-year-old cousin to see it, but really, I think I wanted to see it more than him.

Everything Is Awesome became our theme song.

It's so catchy. I wanted to hate it, but I just couldn't.

The lyrics are so uplifting as well:

Everything is awesome
Everything is cool when you're part of a team
Everything is awesome when we're living our dream

Have you heard the news, everyone's talking
Life is good 'cause everything's awesome
Lost my job, it's a new opportunity
More free time for my awesome community

They show that your outlook on life greatly determines your situation. You can have something happen, like a job loss, and it can be seen as negative or positive. You can see it as a new opportunity or as a hinderance.

If you haven't seen The Lego Movie, then you probably haven't seen the bonus features.

Again, you are missing out.

I cannot stop watching the mock trailer for Michelangelo & Lincoln: History Cops.

"I now release you from the shackles of freedom."

I laughed and laughed at this quote, but then, it made me think.

This one line, these nine simple words, completely exemplify what it is to live in the world.

Society wants us to think they have it all figured out. They say that freedom is being able to do whatever you want and live however you want. They want you to think that you shouldn't fight your sin nature. You should go along with whatever it says.

That is not what the bible says.

"They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved." (2 Peter 2:19, ESV)

Life in the world does not equal freedom.

True freedom can only be found in Jesus Christ, when you accept Him and His sacrifice and choose to live out your faith.

Let go and let God have control.

Happy Friday and Happy Independence Day!

It's been a while since I posted a free pattern. I finally have a day off today to share one with all of you.

Pattern is written in American terms. You can sell items made from this pattern. Please do not recreate pattern or represent as your own.

Flower Crown Animal Hats

I don’t know about you all, but I am ready for spring. I am ready for warm weather, the Easter season, my birthday, my husband’s birthday, and our wedding anniversary. (Okay, maybe I just realized how busy we are going to be in a month or two.)
Spring fever gave me the inspiration to make the animal hats I have been wanted to make since the beginning of January. I’ve seen such cute knitted versions on Pinterest, but I hadn’t come across a crochet pattern for any of them. What do I do when I can’t find a pattern? Come up with one myself.
I hope you all enjoy making them as much as I did.

Flower Crown Unicorn Hat.

Do you ever have an idea that will not leave you alone until you execute it? That’s how I feel about this new hat pattern. I have two orders I should be working on, but I couldn’t focus on either one of them until this hat pattern came to fruition.
After the release of my Flower Crown Animal Hats, I heard the suggestion of releasing a child size hat pattern. So here it is. I am still working on the adult size pattern as well as the idea tomake a more masculine version. Hopefully, I will be able to bring that to you next week.
