Free Pattern Friday: Kassia Empire Waist Dress (2-4 years)

Happy Friday and Happy Independence Day!

It's been a while since I posted a free pattern. I finally have a day off today to share one with all of you.

If you've been on Pinterest, I'm sure you've seen the crochet top and tulle bottom dresses. I fell in love the first time I saw one. I haven't been able to find a pattern I love so I thought I'd write one and share it with all of you. I hope it's easy to read and not confusing.

Pattern is written in American terms. You can sell items made from this pattern. Please do not recreate pattern or represent as your own.

Flower Crown Animal Hats

I don’t know about you all, but I am ready for spring. I am ready for warm weather, the Easter season, my birthday, my husband’s birthday, and our wedding anniversary. (Okay, maybe I just realized how busy we are going to be in a month or two.)
Spring fever gave me the inspiration to make the animal hats I have been wanted to make since the beginning of January. I’ve seen such cute knitted versions on Pinterest, but I hadn’t come across a crochet pattern for any of them. What do I do when I can’t find a pattern? Come up with one myself.
I hope you all enjoy making them as much as I did.

Cozy Delight Moss Stitch Blanket (Free Pattern)

In mid-November, I decided to make a trip to Michael’s. I knew they were having a big yarn sale, and I needed to pick up a skein of Caron Cakes to make my mom’s birthday present.
I stopped at the end of a wall of yarn to look at yarn to make William a hat for work, and when I looked to my left, I saw what I had previously tried to avoid on other trips to the store. The beautiful wall of blanket yarn.
I had William with me this trip which doesn’t happen very often. While we do most errands together, I try to avoid taking him to Michael’s or Hobby Lobby mostly because I know he doesn’t enjoy it as much as I do. On this trip, he surprised me.
I told him how much I had been wanting to get this yarn to make a blanket for myself. As much as I like crocheting blankets for other people, I had never made one for myself. This was partially due to the fact that I never wanted to take the time to do it and mostly due to loving the soft fleece blankets that always come out at Christmas time. I had …
