Follow Your Arrow?

Is it just me or does this culture have an obsession with arrows? Has anyone else noticed this?

Everywhere I look, I see them.

Pinterest. Facebook. Clothing stores. They are everywhere.

Why now?

I understand there are trends that come and go. I know arrows have been around practically since the dawn of time. Why the sudden onset of obsession in everyone?

Should I dare to say that I think I know?

People search to fill themselves with whatever they can find. There is a lie of this day and age that people readily accept. That is the idea that everyone has their own truth. We have to search inside ourselves and find out what is best for us. For some people it is Christianity, for another it may be Buddhism. We do not judge because it is not our place.

I understand why this is so easy to by into. It sounds great. Who wouldn't want to be able to save themselves? Who wouldn't want to make their own rules and boundaries? Who wouldn't want to be their own salvation?

I wouldn't.

I am terrible at setting rules and boundaries for myself. I tried hard to be my own savior. It didn't go so well for me. I cannot hold myself accountable for anything. If I let myself start to do things that are not good for me, who knows where that path will end up? That is a spiral I do not want to go down again.

Like a lot of lies, there is a little truth in it. It is not our place to judge. The only rightful Judge is God. We love. We pray. We share. That is what He has commanded us to do.

Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you. (Genesis 28:15, ESV)

The Lord has promised us that He will never leave us. He will protect us and guide us if we let him. If we seek after Him and His Will, He will fulfill what He has promised us.

I would rather have boundaries in black and white than set rules for myself.

I would rather have truth than lies.

I would rather have God's Will than my own.

I will follow His arrow and never be lost.

Flower Crown Animal Hats

I don’t know about you all, but I am ready for spring. I am ready for warm weather, the Easter season, my birthday, my husband’s birthday, and our wedding anniversary. (Okay, maybe I just realized how busy we are going to be in a month or two.)
Spring fever gave me the inspiration to make the animal hats I have been wanted to make since the beginning of January. I’ve seen such cute knitted versions on Pinterest, but I hadn’t come across a crochet pattern for any of them. What do I do when I can’t find a pattern? Come up with one myself.
I hope you all enjoy making them as much as I did.

Flower Crown Unicorn Hat.

Do you ever have an idea that will not leave you alone until you execute it? That’s how I feel about this new hat pattern. I have two orders I should be working on, but I couldn’t focus on either one of them until this hat pattern came to fruition.
After the release of my Flower Crown Animal Hats, I heard the suggestion of releasing a child size hat pattern. So here it is. I am still working on the adult size pattern as well as the idea tomake a more masculine version. Hopefully, I will be able to bring that to you next week.
