Diamonds & Trellis Baby Blanket

One of my very favorite things is creating items for friends who are expecting babies and now for my own baby. Since I started my maternity leave early, I have had a lot of extra time to plan, create, and bring to fruition different projects I’ve been thinking about for a while. In the last week alone, I’ve created two original baby blanket patterns. I decided it was time to share one of them.
This blanket is entirely inspired by a beautiful arcade stitch scarf that I saw on Instagram done by the lovely Steph Lewis. If you don’t follow her, you totally should. She has an amazing feed.
There are certain stitches that are gorgeous and therefore, look super complicated. Arcade stitch is one of those. I promise it’s a whole lot simpler than it looks. It also works up pretty fast. I started this blanket on Saturday afternoon and had it finished by mid-day on Monday.

April Fool's Day

I need to get something off of my chest that's been brewing for about a week. I've debated about posting anything because I don't want to offend or come across as being judgmental. Because I am almost positive that when I open my Facebook app someone is going to have posted a fake pregnancy test. Maybe I'm being overly sensitive. Maybe I should just let it go. Maybe I should just avoid checking Facebook. But I know I'm not the only one. For those of us that have experienced loss or are experiencing fertility issues, pregnancy is not something that should be joked about. It is not a flippant thing. It should not be taken lightly. It is an extremely precious gift th…

Flower Crown Unicorn Hat.

Do you ever have an idea that will not leave you alone until you execute it? That’s how I feel about this new hat pattern. I have two orders I should be working on, but I couldn’t focus on either one of them until this hat pattern came to fruition.
After the release of my Flower Crown Animal Hats, I heard the suggestion of releasing a child size hat pattern. So here it is. I am still working on the adult size pattern as well as the idea tomake a more masculine version. Hopefully, I will be able to bring that to you next week.
